God Still Sends  -- What does it look like to say God Still Sends  -- What does it look like to say yes to God?  Sometimes it means crossing the street.  Sometimes it means crossing an ocean.  This summer at Gather, the Evangelical Covenant Church commissioned Reagan Smith as Serve Globally personnel to Japan. While her destination is on the other side of the world, her story began much closer to home – at First Covenant Church in Salina, Kan.  Reagan traces her calling back to a youth mission trip when she was just 11 years old.  “I felt God really draw me into outreach ministry after my first mission trip,” she said. “My passion for cross-cultural

Sacred Space for Next Generation of Campers -- Thi Sacred Space for Next Generation of Campers -- This summer marked a significant milestone for Twin Lakes Bible Camp in Manson, Iowa as campers gathered for the very first chapel service in the new Lakeview Chapel on June 22. Just two weeks later, on July 4, friends of the camp celebrated with an open house, giving many their first opportunity to step inside this beautiful new space.  For more than 70 years, Twin Lakes has helped young people encounter Jesus through worship, biblical teaching, prayer, and fellowship. Lakeview Chapel was intentionally designed to become the spiritual heart of camp for generations to come, providing a flexible worship space for up to 240 people, along

Limitless -- Reading provides an escape for me tha Limitless -- Reading provides an escape for me that few things match. Through the never ending learning I can engage in through a variety of nonfiction works out there, to the astonishing stories and worlds authors create through their fiction stories, and, in the most rare but spectacular occurrences, there are nonfiction works I’ve read that have taken me on a journey I narrowly assume to be only found in fiction works, like with Robin Wall Kimmerer or John Green or Barbara Brown Taylor. Right now, I’m in the midst of a few books. One of them is Great Big Beautiful Life

Pentecost: The Song Of Unity -- “This is a beautif Pentecost: The Song Of Unity -- “This is a beautiful song. Do you know it?” “I’m learning it.” This snippet of a conversation took place as the choirs from Paseo Baptist Church of Kansas City, Mo., and Community Covenant Church of Lenexa, Kan., sat down to sing together for the first time in either church’s history. Each choir had the chance to teach songs from their worship style and learn songs from a different worship tradition. They were practicing for an unprecedented service. On May 31, 2026, both churches gathered at Community Covenant Church to commemorate Pentecost, a celebration of the coming of the Holy Spirit
