Unite KC’S Walk For Unity Returns

1 min read

Unite KC’s third annual Walk for Unity is set to take place on Saturday, June 10, 2023, in the 18th & Vine District.

The Walk has become Unite KC’s flagship event, attracting individuals from all walks of life, ages and cultures to come together in the name of unity.

The theme of this year’s Walk is “Come to the Table.” More than a piece of furniture, tables are gathering places where all are welcome, conversation flows freely and where the lives of those gathered can be deeply impacted. A table is a symbol of family, community, faithful presence and our deep desire to be known and be loved.

The Walk itself acts as a “table” space, providing a unique opportunity for people to come together and connect on a personal level, learning about each other’s cultures and backgrounds.

The Walk starts at 9 a.m., but participants are encouraged to arrive at 8:30 a.m. The route begins at Troost & Truman and ends at the Great Lawn, Paseo & E. 17th Terrace, where there will be games, music and food. All ages welcome.
