An Oasis of Connection in Fort Collins -- The Oasi An Oasis of Connection in Fort Collins -- The Oasis Ministries, based in Fort Collins, CO, is an outreach ministry that strives to connect people to Jesus, both locally and internationally. The ministry launched in April 2017, with non-profit status coming just a few months later in July. Our focus is on three spheres: 1) previous established relationships, 2) neighborhood, and 3) public spaces. Our joy is to give people the time they need to talk, process, and discover how God has been at work in their life. I’m back in one and I’ve come across author Abbie Halberstadt, a Christian mother of 10 kiddos who has written several books. Growing Hope at Bethlehem  -- A Sunday farmers mar Growing Hope at Bethlehem  -- A Sunday farmers market at Bethlehem Covenant Church (BCC) in Waverly, Nebraska, is helping families around the world put food on their own tables.  BCC held its third annual farmers market Aug. 2, raising $2,000 for Growing Hope Globally. Church and community members contributed homegrown produce, baked goods, jams, sauces, flowers, artwork and other creations to sell after worship.  The market began in 2024 after the congregation learned about Growing Hope Globally and hosted a guest from an agricultural development program in Honduras. Le Tour De France 2026 -- Another Tour De France h Le Tour De France 2026 -- Another Tour De France has come and gone. For the past several years, I’ve enjoyed watching this race, and this year came with much anticipation. Tadej Pogacar is a once-in-a-lifetime rider to watch. Having really dug into watching cycling just a few years ago, I don’t really know racing without him. Because of that, it’s sometimes hard to really appreciate just how incredible he is. But I’m often reminded of his dominance because he is the top competitor of my favorite rider, Jonas Vingegaard. In utterly astonishing fashion, Pogacar took the lead early in this year’s Tour. Time -- I’m reading Beautiful Chaos by Jessica Url Time -- I’m reading Beautiful Chaos by Jessica Urlichs, and her poem “I Would Tell Her” is about things she would tell herself in her early days of motherhood. What struck me most about this poem is how it ends.
